Ground Cover
Established in 1990 by Justin and Amanda McCarthy, Groundcover was founded as an expression of a lifelong passion for leatherwork and a search for a meaningful livelihood. Now owned and run by their son, Daniel McCarthy and his wife Angela McCarthy, Groundcovers legacy continues through the generations. All Groundcover leather goods are made by hand in our factory situated within the picturesque KZN Midlands. Materials used in the production of our products are locally and ethically sourced from South African suppliers. On top of that, Groundcover provides more than 30 jobs to individuals within our local community. We think global, but make sure we act local; 10% of our revenue is invested directly into staff welfare and community development.
