Spotlight On: Bloomingville
Driven by a fascination of Nordic style and living, founder Betina Stampe established Bloomingville in 2000. Since then, she has shared her passion for creative and personal ways of keeping the home ever-changing with people across the globe. In 2014, the company became part of US-based Regent Holding, bringing an even wider perspective of globalisation and glory to the brand.
Today the Bloomingville brands and philosophies have been adopted by millions of homes and release many inspiring collections across seasons.
We asked the newest addition to The Summerhouse a few questions to get to know them better ahead of Autumn Fair. Meet Bloomingville . . .
- What inspires Bloomingville, and therefore inspires your collections?
Our inspiration comes from the trends that we capture on our inspirational tours around Europe, as well as tours to the East. At the same time, we look at how the world is changing. We focus on the trends we are able to identify with and blend them with our own unique Nordic Bloomingville style. Our style will always stand out by being cozy and vibrant with a Nordic authentic touch.
The goal is to inspire happy changes and communicate that people live in ‘Bloomingville ever-changing homes’. We believe that personality is important in every home.
“We believe that personality is important in every home.”
- Tell us about your AW20 inspiration . . .
The AW20 season is characterised by art, tactile shapes, contrasts, soft pleasing colours and materials. We want to make you feel like you are in a universe of beautiful shapes and qualities. At the same time, Bloomingville also sticks to classic traditions of the Nordic look that we know. There will also be room for the happy and warm colours inspired by the East. Well-known materials like bamboo and rattan can always be found in a Bloomingville collection, but of course in new exciting forms.
In the AW20 season, we also have exciting news on the kitchen series, which we are very proud to present. We are also constantly working to make our collection and packaging even more sustainable in the best possible way.
- As most of us have been spending more time at home, what have you been sharing with your customers?
In this home era, our message has been to stay home, stay safe and be loving and caring towards each other. We have also shared with our customers advice on home comforts; baking time, healthy recipes, planting time, and relaxation.
- What will you be showcasing at Autumn Fair?
Our new AW20 collection for Bloomingville, Bloomingville MINI and Creative Collection.
To mark our 20th Anniversary, we have launched a collection that goes beyond the ordinary. Look forward to experiencing new Nordic styles and a brand-new universe of soft materials and rounded shapes, perfectly in line with the season's trends.
Bloomingville MINI invites the smallest customers on new adventures into the forest, accompanied by animal friends. Boasting cute illustrations and toys in dusty shades and natural materials, MINI also perfectly blends in with Bloomingville’s main collection.
CREATIVE COLLECTION impresses with new styles in earthy tones and statement pieces in sustainable materials as well as exciting new founds to yet again share the brand's passion for authentic home décor.
“Our style will always stand out by being cozy and vibrant with a Nordic authentic touch.”
- Anything else you would like to share with us?
Bloomingville has turned focus towards the need for digitalization. We have introduced our virtual showroom – the first in our business area. Walking through our virtual showroom will feel like walking through our physical showroom in Ikast, Denmark – just online. The new virtual showroom will be online on all platforms later this year.
Meet Bloomingville at Autumn Fair and follow them on social.
